Sports First Responder Level 3 (VTQ)™ - Classroom Blended Part 2
3-Day Practical Course
The Sports First Responder Level 3 (VTQ)™ – Classroom Blended Part 2 is the practical component of the ProTrainings blended Sports First Responder programme.
Delivered over three classroom days, this course is designed for learners who have already completed the required ProTrainings Sports First Responder online course and now need to complete the practical element of their training.
The course develops the practical skills, knowledge and understanding required to provide appropriate immediate care to a casualty before the arrival of an ambulance or other professional medical assistance.
With a strong emphasis on hands-on training and realistic sporting scenarios, it is suitable for responders working across a wide range of sports, whether providing pitchside first aid, mobile event cover or emergency response within a sports or activity organisation.
Important – Blended Course Requirement
This course is Part 2 of a blended training programme.
Before attending the three-day practical classroom course, learners must successfully complete the ProTrainings online Sports First Responder course – Part 1.

Practical Sports First Responder Training
Having completed the underpinning theory online, the three-day Classroom Blended Part 2 concentrates on developing and applying first responder skills in a practical environment.
Learners have the opportunity to practise casualty assessment and emergency interventions while working through scenarios relevant to injuries and medical emergencies that may occur during sport.
The emphasis is on developing a structured approach to casualty management, practical competence and the confidence to respond effectively while awaiting further medical assistance.
More Than Conventional Sports First Aid
Sports First Responder training is intended for those requiring a broader emergency-response capability than that normally provided by a conventional Sports First Aid course.
The blended pathway provides the flexibility to complete the underpinning theory online before attending three days of focused, face-to-face practical training.
This makes it particularly useful for sports organisations seeking enhanced emergency response capability while reducing the amount of time learners need to spend away from their normal workplace or sporting responsibilities.
