Safe Moving and Handling Training for Your Team (RQF Course)
Safe Moving and Handling Training for Your Team
Bring regulated moving and handling training to your workplace with the TQUK Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF). This instructor-led group course helps employees understand why safe manual handling matters and how to assess and reduce the risks involved in moving objects and loads.
Manual handling is part of everyday work in offices, warehouses, factories, healthcare settings and many other workplaces. The law does not set a universal “safe” weight limit: the risk depends on the task, the load, the working environment and the person carrying it out.
What your team will learn
- Why safe moving and handling is necessary, including the potential consequences of poor practice
- Employer and employee responsibilities
- How manual handling risk assessments help prevent injury
- Principles of safer lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
- How to apply safe moving and handling techniques to objects and loads
- When to use handling aids or seek help with a task
Training at your premises allows the instructor to use examples relevant to your team’s working environment while covering the requirements of the regulated qualification.
