This 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is designed for individuals who are required to act as a designated First Aider in the workplace, particularly in higher-risk environments.
Delivered by experienced instructors, this regulated qualification provides the practical skills and confidence needed to manage medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
What You Will Learn
You will develop the ability to:
Assess and manage emergency situations safely
Perform adult CPR and use an AED
Manage an unconscious casualty
Treat severe bleeding and shock
Respond to heart attack, stroke and seizures
Manage fractures, spinal injuries and burns
Handle asthma, diabetes and allergic reactions
Deal with minor injuries and workplace incidents
The course includes continuous assessment through practical observation and questioning.
