TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) - FAW Requalification (Only valid if renewing an existing eligible FAW - 2 Day Course)

This Level 3 Regulated Course allows you to requalify as a fully trained First Aider in your workplace.

This course is for those who already have a current FAW or one that is no older than one month from expiry (3 years and 1 month). You must be able to produce a copy of your old certificate and give it to your instructor at the practical part of the course. Where you start your course online you will receive your certificate on completion and passing of the practical part two. Where you have a qualifying FAW, you can complete the course in just two days in the classroom or one day online and one day in the classroom.

This regulated qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.

The recommended course duration is 3 days and topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis. The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration.

All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, detailing their achievement. The HSE dictate, that to be valid in the workplace, learners must retake the First Aid at Work qualification before the expiry of 3 years from the date that the original qualification was achieved. If no more than one calendar month over this 3 year period, you may qualify to take the course again in two days rather than three. We call this our ‘requalification’ course. The HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher courses and our online course meets this requirement.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.

Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 14.
