On-Site TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) – FAW Group Training
Comprehensive three-day workplace first aid training delivered exclusively for your team at your own premises.
This group-booking option allows organisations to arrange the TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) for their own staff, delivered on-site by Vital Signs Scotland.
The course provides 18 hours of instructor-led training, normally delivered over three days, and develops the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to manage a broad range of workplace injuries, illnesses and medical emergencies.
Training is delivered in accordance with the Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) 2025 Guidelines and current UK workplace first aid requirements, with a strong emphasis on practical competence, casualty assessment and effective emergency response.
Designed for workplace groups
On-site First Aid at Work training is particularly suitable for organisations whose first aid needs assessment
identifies a requirement for the more comprehensive FAW level of training.
This may include workplaces where the nature of the work, workforce, location or identified hazards mean that first aiders require broader skills than those provided by the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course.
Training your team together at your own premises can also reduce employee travel and disruption while allowing practical exercises and discussion to reflect your organisation's working environment, risks and emergency arrangements.
Key areas of training
The course includes the essential emergency skills covered by EFAW and develops these considerably further. Delegates will train in areas including:
Primary and secondary casualty assessment
Adult CPR and practical AED use
Management of an unresponsive casualty
Choking and seizures
External and life-threatening bleeding
Shock
Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
Head and suspected spinal injuries
Chest injuries
Burns and scalds
Eye injuries
Suspected poisoning
Anaphylaxis and severe allergic reactions
Heart attack and stroke
Asthma and hypoglycaemic emergencies
Minor injuries
Incident management and the responsibilities of a workplace first aider
The course has a strong hands-on practical emphasis, with delegates participating in skills exercises and realistic workplace first aid scenarios.
Current anaphylaxis and emergency adrenaline training
Current course content includes the recognition and emergency management of anaphylaxis, together with practical training in the use of an adrenaline auto-injector (AAI) training device.
Training also incorporates awareness of current emergency adrenaline options, including adrenaline nasal spray, where appropriate.
Regulated certification
Successful delegates receive the TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), a nationally regulated qualification.
The qualification is regulated by Ofqual
and is valid for three years.

The group price includes instructor-led training, training equipment, assessment, course materials and regulated certification.
A suitable training room with sufficient space for all delegates to participate safely in practical exercises, including floor-based CPR and casualty-management activities, is required.

EFAW or FAW?
The appropriate level of first aid training should be determined through your organisation's first aid needs assessment.
Our one-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
qualification provides the essential skills required to respond to common workplace first aid emergencies.
The three-day First Aid at Work (FAW)
qualification provides substantially broader training and is appropriate where first aiders may need to manage a wider range of injuries, illnesses or more complex workplace emergencies.
