Forestry First Aid Training
Forestry First Aid Training in Scotland
Vital Signs Scotland provides specialist Forestry First Aid training across Scotland for people working in forestry, arboriculture, tree surgery, landscaping, grounds maintenance and other higher-risk outdoor occupations.
Working with machinery, cutting equipment and vehicles, often in rural or remote locations, can create circumstances where injuries are potentially serious and professional emergency assistance may take longer to reach the casualty. Forestry-specific first aid training builds on workplace first aid by preparing learners for the additional risks associated with these environments.
Our available forestry first aid qualifications include:
- EFAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ)™
- FAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ)™
- FAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ)™ Requalification
- Blended-learning options where available
These qualifications are included within our approved instructor portfolio.

Delivered by Vital Signs Scotland as part of our Specialist Emergency Response Training provision, our approach emphasises practical skills, realistic scenarios and the confidence to respond effectively when an emergency occurs.
Courses can be delivered for groups at their workplace, depot or other suitable training location across Scotland, making this particularly suitable for forestry, arboriculture and landscaping businesses requiring in-house first aid training.
