Supporting Mental Health in Adventurous Settings (VTQ)™ is specialist training designed for people who lead, support or participate in outdoor, adventure, expedition and remote activities, where mental wellbeing can be affected by isolation, challenging conditions, fatigue, stress and the demands of the environment.

The course develops greater awareness of mental health and wellbeing in adventurous settings, helping learners recognise when someone may be experiencing difficulties and understand how to provide appropriate, practical support.

Learners develop the confidence to recognise concerns, communicate effectively and support individuals experiencing mental health challenges while operating in outdoor, remote and potentially challenging environments.
