On-Site Training: Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – Ofqual Accredited Training Course
On-Site Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – Level 3 RQF Group Training
Train your team together at your own workplace with our one-day, regulated Emergency First Aid at Work course.
This group-booking option allows organisations to arrange the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) exclusively for their own staff, delivered by Vital Signs Scotland at the client's premises.
The course provides 6 hours of instructor-led workplace first aid training and combines practical exercises, realistic scenarios and assessment to develop the essential skills required of an Emergency First Aider.
Training is delivered in accordance with the Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) 2025 Guidelines and current UK workplace first aid requirements.
Designed for workplace groups
On-site EFAW training is an efficient and cost-effective option for employers who need to train several members of staff at the same time.
Rather than employees travelling individually to public courses, we bring the instructor and training equipment to you. This also allows practical exercises and discussion to take account of your own working environment, identified risks and emergency arrangements.
The appropriate level and number of workplace first aiders should be determined through your organisation's first aid needs assessment.
Key practical skills
During the course, delegates develop and demonstrate essential emergency first aid skills including:
- Assessing an incident and carrying out a primary survey
- Adult CPR and practical AED use
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Recovery position and ongoing monitoring
- Choking
- Seizures
- External and life-threatening bleeding
- Shock
- Minor workplace injuries and burns
- Summoning emergency assistance and fulfilling the responsibilities of a workplace first aider
Regulated certification
Successful delegates receive the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).
The qualification is regulated by Ofqual and is valid for three years.

Why book EFAW as an on-site course?
On-site group training allows your organisation to train a team together, minimise employee travel and disruption, and relate first aid learning to your own workplace.
For organisations requiring training for more than 12 people, please contact us. Depending on numbers and the training space available, we may be able to provide additional instructor capacity to accommodate a larger group.
Need more comprehensive first aid provision?
If your first aid needs assessment identifies a requirement for more extensive training, our three-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course may be more appropriate.
We can also provide advice on selecting the appropriate level of workplace first aid training for your organisation.
