The First Aid for Mental Health – FAA Level 5 Award (Scotland)
is a 1-day accredited course
designed to equip learners with essential knowledge and skills to support mental health in the workplace.
This course builds on the foundation of the Level 4 (½-day) Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health, which teaches learners how to identify suspected mental health conditions, start supportive conversations, and signpost individuals to professional help.
In addition to the Level 1 content, this course expands into:
The impact of alcohol and substance misuse
on mental health
The use of a structured First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan
Strategies to promote and maintain a positive mental health culture in the workplace

Upon successful completion, learners will receive the FAA Level 5 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (Scotland)
