Immediate Life Support (ILS)- Healthcare
Our Immediate Life Support (ILS) course equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, respond to, and manage life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest.
The course follows the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and is certified by ProTrainings. It is fully aligned with current CPR best practice and incorporates the latest recommendations related to infection prevention in resuscitation scenarios.
Course Aim
To train healthcare personnel in high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), simple airway management, and safe defibrillation, enabling them to:
- Manage patients in cardiac arrest until a cardiac arrest team arrives
- Act effectively as part of a resuscitation team
- Recognise and treat deteriorating patients using the ABCDE approach
- Apply non-technical skills for leadership, communication, and teamwork in emergency situations
Course Format
Delivered over one day, this course blends engaging lectures with hands-on, practical training. You will learn to:
- Identify causes of cardiopulmonary arrest and promote prevention strategies
- Deliver effective CPR for adults and children
- Use an AED safely and efficiently
- Apply airway manoeuvres and management techniques
- Work confidently as a leader or team member in a resuscitation scenario
