First Aid for Mental Health - FAA Level 5 Scotland Award - DISTANCE LEARNING
Additional Course Information
This FAA Level 5 Award Scotland in First Aid for Mental Health is delivered by distance learning over two days.
Day 1 consists of the taught course and covers how to identify suspected mental health conditions, start a supportive conversation and signpost someone towards appropriate professional help. The course also explores the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, and considers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within the workplace.
Day 2 is reserved for individual assessment. Each learner will attend a pre-arranged Zoom appointment of approximately 40 minutes for their assessment and/or professional discussion. Learners therefore do not need to remain online for the whole of the second day.
To ensure sufficient time for individual assessment and professional discussion, places are limited to a maximum of 6 learners per course.
Course workbooks will be provided electronically unless a hard copy is requested at the time of booking. Where a printed workbook is requested, an additional charge will apply for printing, postage and packaging.
Certificates will be issued digitally following successful completion of the qualification. If a printed certificate is required, this can be requested for an additional charge to cover postage and packaging.
Course fee: £245 per learner.
