First Aid for Mental Health – FAA Level 2 Award (RQF) – On-Site Group Course
Course Description
The FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) is a one-day regulated qualification designed to give learners the knowledge and confidence to recognise signs of mental ill health, start supportive conversations, provide appropriate initial support and signpost individuals towards professional help.
The course builds on First Aid for Mental Health awareness by exploring the effects of drugs and alcohol, introducing the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, and considering ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within the workplace. This reflects the scope of the official FAA qualification.
The qualification is suitable for employees, designated workplace mental health first aiders, team leaders, supervisors and others who may have responsibility for supporting colleagues.

Although the awarding-body specification permits up to 16 learners, Vital Signs Scotland limits this on-site course to a maximum of 8 learners to support effective learning, discussion and assessment.
Group Pricing
£749 – On-Site Group Course for up to 4 learners
Additional learners can be added at £50 per person, up to a maximum group size of 8 learners.
The course fee includes learner manuals, assessment and e-certification.

Learners must successfully complete the required assessment to achieve the qualification. The qualification is valid for three years, with annual refresher training strongly recommended. Learners must complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
